Who says the Keto Diet is boring?  Try this lip-smacking recipe for a Keto Cheeseburger Casserole. 

This dish brings all the flavors of a juicy cheeseburger in a delightful casserole form that will satisfy your cravings while keeping you on track with your ketogenic lifestyle.

Ingredients:

  • 800 grams (1.8 pounds) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200 grams (2 cups) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 120 milliliters (1/2 cup) unsweetened almond milk (or any low-carb milk of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: sugar-free ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and continue cooking until the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.

  3. Transfer the cooked ground beef mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.

  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the ground beef layer.

  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, unsweetened almond milk, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  6. Pour the egg mixture over the ground beef and cheese in the baking dish, ensuring it is evenly distributed.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is golden and bubbly.

  8. Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
